The Richmond Group is excited to announce the launch of its new project with ElevateBio. As a premier design/builder and construction manager specializing in the Life Science ecosystem serving Massachusetts they have been contracted to manage the preconstruction, lab equipment procurement and construction for the ElevateBio ‘BaseCamp’ project located at 200 Smith Street, Waltham, MA. The over 100,000 square foot facility will serve as inaugural operations for ElevateBio’s portfolio companies focused on cell therapy and gene therapy innovation. BaseCamp will include research and development, process development, cGMP manufacturing, administrative areas and collaborative spaces.
The initial planning phase allowed Richmond and Elevate to set the ground work and focus on identifying capital requirements, setting procurement expectations, and manage schedule opportunities. The collaboration extended to ElevateBio’s design partners DPS, TRIA, and McNamara Salvia who consulted with the Richmond team on constructability, budget goals, logistics and schedule during the design phase to ensure compliance with the project’s goals.
Richmond has fully mobilized their construction team to begin the initial work for seamless procurement and execution. This Base Camp facility will serve as a foundation for continued company growth and a gateway to state of the art research capabilities for advancing new discoveries.
